Candy and Lisa presented a session at the NC School Library Media Association Conference this morning. The session was named, “Oh No, I have to move the library!”

Candy moved from Griggs to Jarvisburg this year and set up the new library there. Lisa moved from the old library space to the new library at Moyock Elementary last year.

They shared tips and strategies for preparing for the move, making the move, and setting up the new space.

It was a great session and it was obvious from the questions and discussion, that it was helpful for the folks who attended.

Jog the web

Valerie Person pointed me to this website today and I found it very interesting. The site is JogTheWeb.com and it lets the user setup a “tour” of websites. You can add comments or directions about each website.

My first effort is a quick tour of several Internet safety resource sites. Give it a try and see what you think. Click here. The site is free and relatively easy to use.
